Description

In the international language of flowers, the dahlia represents grace and kindness, as well as inner strength.  It also symbolizes commitment and honesty, making it the perfect choice for birthdays, anniversaries and weddings.  On your cake or cupcake, it will say, "WOW!"
This is a set of 6 pieces:  2 flowers with 4 leaves
You choose your flower color(s) and we will match the leaves
The flowers are approximately 2.75" across and are about 1.25" tall.  The leaves are approximately 1.75" x 1.5" before our signature curl.  The flowers have a "pad" underneath to hold everything in place.
The leaves and petals are hand cut, veined and colored with edible dust.  This makes each piece an individual and no two will be exactly alike.

Brightly colored dahlias are stunning against a chocolate frosting on either a cake or cupcake.  Just make sure to place them close to serving time, as the flowers will gradually absorb the brown from the cocoa and they will start to look "dead".

All of our flowers are handmade in our bakery workshop - never imported or purchased from a third party.  Our flowers and trims are used by bakeries throughout southeast Michigan, so you can be sure your cake will be outstanding and look professionally polished.  We don't even mind if you claim the work as your own!
Because of the multiple layers of petals, these flowers are very heavy.  Therefore, we don't recommend attaching wires.  However, we have found the pieces settle in quite nicely without the wires.
These pieces will keep indefinitely in a cool, dark area.  Excessive exposure to light will fade the colors.  Dampness will also alter the colors and soften the pieces.

We pack as carefully as possible.  However, these pieces are fragile and occasionally chips and breaks occur during shipping.  We have no control over how the package is handled once it leaves the bakery.  So, even though we have very few problems with damage, if you are not willing to "take the shipping risk", we reluctantly suggest you look at other vendors.
You are always welcome to pick up your items at the store!
We do not allow returns.  However, we make every effort to resolve any issue you might have with the item you purchase.  Please ask before you buy.  We are always happy to answer questions, so you have all the information you need before you pay.
Items will be shipped within 5 days of payment confirmation.  We will combine shipping if you purchase multiple items.  If you choose to pick up at the store, please request an invoice so we can adjust shipping charges!
